Listen and Lead
Great leaders are excellent listeners. In this class,
participants will learn how to employ active listening techniques to greatly improve their ability to lead.
Active listening requires self-awareness. Participants
will identify their communication styles and learn to
use this awareness
to develop a new habit – the habit
of better listening, better leading.
The 3 C's of Communication: Whether you are interacting with board members, bosses, members, vendors or lenders, effective communication makes the difference between success and failure. In this class we tackle common communication challenges by exploring generational communication needs, working through conflicts, and negotiations, and general relationship building, all while using cooperation, collaboration and creativity.

Loss Control Lessons
Every manager is responsible for protecting the company’s people, property and process. This class is designed to help upper level managers identify their role in seeing that these protections are put into place and to monitor the effectiveness of the program. We’ll look at some preventable losses from other organizations and suggest certain items to include in a board report to demonstrate attention to loss control.

Shaping Behavior
From the development of a goal-oriented job description to the performance appraisal, managers and supervisors must practice a consistent process of performance management to reach the goals of the organization. Participants in this class will identify critical performance management techniques necessary to help employees achieve excellent performance levels, including motivational and disciplinary methods.
These are fast-paced and rapidly changing times and tomorrow’s successful leaders are preparing today. This class helps management personnel learn how to develop both personal and organizational plans, using critical time and change management techniques. Participants will learn how to achieve better results by setting goals and clarifying objectives; understanding various management styles; and balancing personal and professional life goals.
When managers invest in their employees, it’s a win-win-win for that manager, the employees and the organization. This class offers guidelines to help managers become more effective leaders for the rest of their careers. As a part of the class, participants will develop a long-term leadership plan for professional development.
