The Fiduciary and the Duties
of a Board
Board members of nonprofit organizations are
responsible for the financial viability and
success of the organization. This fiduciary
responsibility requires board members to
understand issues relating to financial integrity
in order to protect the organizations value. In
this workshop, we will define what those
responsibilities are and how to ensure
they are
met.

This workshop covers the essentials in preparing a dynamic, vital, living plan which becomes the framework for your future. We will also cover ways to ensure staff buy-in to the plan. Participants will be provided a “tool kit” to help board members and key staff prepare, develop and implement the plan.

Board Member/ CEO Relationship
The relationship between the board and the CEO is the most critical relationship in any nonprofit organization,
but there is a great deal of confusion about it. This session
focuses on defining roles and building a powerful partnership. We’ll cover the importance of these roles in establishing a “macrogovernance™” rather than a
micromanagement board strategy.
